Workshops on the farm!

 

We are super excited to be launching our first workshop program today!

This is something we've been planning for months, and have tried to figure out the best way to do things, and hestitated and wondered if anyone would come, then just built it, and sent it, and hooray! We're on!

We've got workshops on from-scratch cooking, on homesteading, on raising and processing meat chickens and on coffee growing. 

In addition, we are also hosting long table farm lunches, and a farm picnic day. Can you come?!

I'd love to visit your farm, but as a vegan living in inner-city Melbourne, my main interest would be in permaculture, composting, and maybe even preserving. Do you think you'd be teaching any of that in the future? I'm sure you'll get loads of interest in your other workshops too, it's a great idea!

Hi Tegan, we're working with our friends at Milkwood Permaculture to broaden the offering here in the future! Preserving though, that's something we'll add in soon I hope. I originally included it in the From Scratch day but the day became a bit overloaded. I'll work on it! Thanks for your message.

Hi Fi,
Definitely would work. People are looking for "experiences" a lot these days, instead of "things". I imagine the coffee one would be a good one for those corporate gift/incentive type outlets and the From Scratch/Coffee one would be a great present for the person who has everything! Once I get to do them all myself of course :)
I'll just have to pop down on an overnighter some day.

I reckon they'll be a huge success. We went to Taranaki farm in Victoria last year, there were masses of people there to see Joel Salatin. Also I was talking to Rohan Anderson on the weekend and his workshops are going off. You're lucky being so close to Sydney, you have a huge potential "market" with $$$ to spare. Hurrah! Go for it.... Oh I have no doubt the workshops and lunches will be a success. Really, it's the perfect way to supplement the relatively meagre income derived from a small regenerative farming enterprise such as yours + hopefully provide some joy and warmth and and tasty delights and excellent education in the process. I can't wait to read about how it all goes..
