I love the markings on your chicken. Would you mind telling what kind it is? I am thinking about getting a few more breeds and this one looks interesting.
Warmly,
Tracy

To be honest Tracey, it's next doors, not mine. I have 12 white leghorns, I'm pretty sure this is one of my neighbour's bantam roosters. They spend most of the time in my yard!!

Wonderful moment. How sweet that she will grow up 'knowing' chickens. Lcuky girl! http://youngwebe.blogspot.com/2011/03/this-moment.html

That is so adorable! Babies and chickens make for a great picture. :) I think your rooster is beautiful too!

So inquisitive! Your little baby doesn't look so little compared to the chicken. I'm sure she (your daughter) had much to discover.

Aw - another gorgeous chicken photo. They seem like such friendly animals.
I found your blog via Soulemama and and am really enjoying it. It's very inspiring. x

What a great picture!! So very cute. I have to say I am growing impartial to roosters though after one attacked me a couple of weeks ago...through my jeans, claws and all. Eek, I had big bruises and everything. I never knew they could be so mean! I still love chickens though. And I'm sure there are some nice roosters out there too. Enjoy your weekend.

How adorable!
My moment took place this week when my baby found our living room window for the first time and her furry companion joined her to watch the comings and goings outside:

Fantastic! And it's so green down there! I have a (somewhat) similar moment (babe and animal, that is), but mine is unfortunately covered in a backdrop of snow.

as a family about to get some chooks (because clearly a hundred children, some guinea pigs and fish are just not enough) I adore this photo. Of course if it was me it'd probably feature Grover holding one by it's neck.
