We have a lot of frogs in this house.
I know, what with the whole spider thing, it sounds like we don't actually have a roof. We do, we just also seem to have a lot of nature. Like, inside.
I have (of course) googled whether frogs eat spiders. They do. Awesome. I loved them before, and now I'm figuring out how to set up a frog breeding program in my laundry. Wonderful wee blighters.
This one the kids found on the trampoline, getting a bit more jump than he bargained for. The ones we're finding inside are paler. Truly gorgeous though, I really love frogs.
Adam, a.k.a. the greenie, has always welcomed frogs in our house as a sign of a healthy eco-system.
Kind of nice, right? A little hopping reminder that your internal eco-system is functioning properly.
A good place to be. If you love where you live I reckon you're well on the way to some genuine happiness.
I hope your place feels like that too.
If you've got a blog and you feel like posting something about loving where you live, please leave your link, I'd love to visit. Otherwise, tell us! Tell us something about your place that you love!

we love where we live. a few years ago we got some tadpoles from the dam and had them on the kitchen bench in a big fish tank. as they turned into frogs they absconded into the house before we realised. we then found them for months and months aroudn the place but mainly in the bathroom - we loved it and took it as a complement to our cleaning.

I love being in a place where I can walk both to hiking trails and to town... though admittedly I do still rely more heavily on my car than on my feet. Hoping as warmer weather stays around more I'll work on that ;)
*picked up the Richard Louv book at my library recently and just started it~ thanks for mentioning it here! Are you on Goodreads?

Oh I wish I took a picture of the the little green frog I found on a rhubarb leaf yesterday. I feel just like you do about them. I also live in the bush and know what you mean about the spiders. Luckily for my my older boys have become very good at removing huntsmen without harming them. I just don't want to share my inside space with them!
I do love where I live. I love the trees, the view of the lake, ocean and islands. I love that we can get up close and personal to kangaroos, tawny owls, possums, lizards and even snakes - carpet pythons are truly lovely, on a daily basis.
I feel so lucky to live in such a gorgeous place. I'll link to a picture:http://angieathome.blogspot.com/2010/08/this.html

One of things I love about my current home is the wooded park just beyond the back fence. Especially the red-tailed hawks that built a nest there last year. I've seen them recently too, so I'm hoping there are going to be more young hawks this year, too.
I'm glad you found a home invading critter you like where you are.

I love where I live. Looking out the window right now I can see brilliant coloured lorikeets in the grevillia tree, Lewins honeyeaters in the banana flowers, a couple of bush turkeys wandering around. Last night there was a gorgeously cute flying fox in the grapes. At night the frogs serenade their hoped for mates at full volume. But there is a price to pay. Wildlife just doesn't get the concept of "my house" or "my garden" or "my fruit basket", or even "my underwear drawer".

I love where we live too...we can see the mountains from our dining room window. We have a magnificant silver gum in our backyard which is frequented by a group of black cockatoos just before sunset. I just adore listening to their haunting cries.

If you weren't such a mighty fine gardener you wouldn't have so many living things clamoring to live with you!! I'd live in your garden too, given the choice!

I mostly love where we live, great house, great town, quiet street...I just wish that the beach or the bush or the fields were at the end of it so I didn't have to walk through town first for the nice long peaceful walks...but otherwise, love it. (and will love it more when our renovation is finished!)
