Well hello!!
I'll be honest, as my little USB modem whirred to life for the first time this afternoon, I felt the relief of a junkie getting a hit. I didn't realize how plugged in I was until I was totally unplugged. I don't like it. I like the idea of meditating on a hilltop, but in reality I would suck at it.
I'm a wired-up girl.
And am now a happy one, plugged in, online.
AND IN THE COUNTRY!!!!
*Long deep exhalation of breath*
No, the move wasn't smooth. The removalists needed an extra truck and the house we moved into was in a direly dirty state, and THAT from someone with a significantly low grime-odometer. But we're in the process of unpacking and getting the hang of the place, and honestly, we're thrilled to pieces.
This, above, is my back gate.
We have neighbours, and they are delightful. Again? Could we be that lucky?
There's lots of exploring and for me, getting used to not having children permanently in line of sight.
It's all very exciting.
And now: cupcakes. First baking foray with this oven. Tilly's going to a birthday party for a little girl down the road tomorrow. Let's go see how this oven works, shall we?

If this were facebook I could click 'like' - but as it's not, I can just say WOW! So excited for you all - and loving the cows and the fact that you've been in less than a week and Tilly is already going to a party - that wee little socialite!
Enjoy, Darling Fi, will catch up very soon xxx

Wow! It looks dreamy ... and the south coast - oh how we love the south coast - especially the Bega Valley. We visit family in Merimbula regularly and my mum is moving there next year. We hope to follow in few years more. And we certainly couldn't ask for nicer neighbours than those you have found. Oh I so look forward to following your adventures in the country! Long live flour topped kitchen benches.

It looks beautiful Fi. Well done on surviving the move. I've always found that you end up cleaning both the old and the new place when you move, it's exhausting!

So thrilled for you, Pickle. I hope you all flourish in your new habitat. It's near the sea too isn't it - swoon! I can smell the salty air, the cows and something baking. luv Debx

Thanks for the short-cut. Started in December so I got the build up. Will move forward now and then back again. Hubby having a jet-lag sleep-in so quick sneaky peak. Hope I'm not addicted, I think it's seeing that gorgeous countryside so familar to me from visiting my grandparents. I always swore I'd live there one day but I think I might be firmly welded to here now so will live vicariously through your photos. Thanks again...
