Oh yes, the old chocolate chip cookie made a comeback today after many weeks of no white flour/sugar/chocolate/fun in this house.
This is the ORIGINAL visitor biscuit and goes like this:
125g butter, melted
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 cups white self raising flour
1 tblsp custard powder
1/2 cup choc chips. Or more.
Mix together, in order above, ball into about 24 cookies (depending how many the small helpers nick while you're lining the cookie trays) and bake for about 12 mins in a moderate oven.
AWESOMENESS (if not wholesomeness. We'll get back to that tomorrow.)
I needed a really easy no fuss choc chip recipe yesterday and this was PERFECT, thanks for sharing. Oh and they are delicious.

Aaah, they're in the oven, and Lauren's gorgeously floury and happy, eating some dough and drinking milk. And the visitors are due any minute. Can you believe it took me this long to try these for the first time? Thanks!
